Masterclasses @ Maritime City Photography

What is a masterclass? Many musicians and artists know this term. A masterclass is a class for aspiring photographers taught by a working professional. Our masterclasses are taught on Saturdays from 10-3 and last four hours (you get an hour break for lunch so the math does work). Bring your camera and your questions and prepare to have fun. Contact us through our contact form to schedule a class. We also schedule advanced classes and special group classes during the week. Contact us for details.

MCP has partnered with Living Social!

We are running a special right now through Living Social. Sign up today! Classes are by reservation only so once you purchase a Living Social voucher, contact us to reserve a spot in a class. It is that easy! Check out our Facebook page for recent reviews of our class!

  • Intro to Digital Photography

    Open or Close
If you have a camera (point and shoot or DSLR), this class is for you. You will learn about basic camera functions, the basic terminology (so you can sound like you know what you are talking about to your friends), basic photo workflow, and image composition. Most people who use a camera rarely take it out of full auto mode. It is time to break free of that and learn how to use your camera.
  • Advanced Digital Photography

    Open or Close
Okay, you have been using your camera for a while. Where do you go from here? This class is for the user who wants to know more advanced techniques such as efficient workflow, camera RAW, advanced composition, and full manual operation. We will also cover basic strobe techniques as well as techniques for directing subjects.
  • Photography Workflow

    Open or Close
Okay, you take a lot of pictures, what do you do with them now? In this class, we will cover the software and camera settings that will help streamline your workflow. We demonstrate Apple's Aperture® software as well as Adobe Photoshop CS6® the way the pros use them.
