Do you have a studio?

Yes. Our studio is located in the Gateway Pointe Business park which is convenient for both our Gig Harbor and Tacoma customers. Our studio gives us the capability for precision photography so you get the best image possible. Our studio is family friendly and has restroom and changing facilities for your convenience.

Do you still do location shoots?

Absolutely. If a location shoot is required, we have the equipment and ability to set up on location so you can look your best at any location of your choosing.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all four major credit card and check. We assess a $30 fee on all NSF checks regardless the amount and require a guaranteed form of payment be delivered in no more than five business days for the full amount plus fees.

When is payment due?

Payment is due at the time of services. With some ongoing accounts, arrangements can be made for monthly invoicing; payment for invoices are due upon receipt.

Does MCP retain all copyrights?

Yes. Photography and design are our bread and butter. When you purchase an instance of a photo from MCP, you are not buying the image, you are purchasing a license to use the image; this is similar to how you purchase software. If you are purchasing it for advertising, you will be issued, along with the image, a statement from MCP detailing your license. This will be required when using the images with another designer or print service.

How long does MCP keep photographs?

We never throw away an image. If MCP took a photograph several years back, we still have it. Give us a description and a timeframe and we will find it.

Why does MCP have two logos?

We only have one logo, the RGB sails. The meaning of this logo is clear, we center on photography and red, green, and blue are the primary colors of light. We use the sails because we are based in the beautiful city of Gig Harbor, WA, The Maritime City. The other "logo" you may have seen is the MCP watermark along with the year. Both are trademarks of Maritime City Photography.

I want to remove the MCP watermark from an image, is that okay?

If the image has the watermark, you are not allowed by law to remove it. If the image is used for commercial advertising, your license will reflect that and there should be no watermark in the image. If you want to change your license to a commercial license, let us know and we will make the necessary arrangements. No individual outside of Maritime City Photography has permission to alter the image.
